Vaccinium corymbosum “Reka”

A fast-growing and adaptable early-season blueberry variety with vigorous growth. It produces bountiful yields of medium-sized, rich-tasting berries great for fresh eating and baking, as well as stunning red and burgundy fall foliage. Reka thrives in various northern climates and soil types from light sandy soils to heavier clay loams, and is more tolerant of wet ground than many other varieties.

Produce in second or third year, continue for ten or more years.

1L pot, 12-14"

Growing tips
  • Remove all flowers during first year, do not allow berries to develop, allowing plant energy to be directed to root and shoot growth.
  • Note: Blueberries are partly self-sterile which means that at least 2 varieties are needed for good cross-pollination. Any combination of varieties will work.
